I. Who is the controller and how can you contact the data protection officer?

Our data protection officer, JURANDO GmbH https://www.jurando.de, Dr. Dennis Werner, can be contacted at info@mavo.berlin or by post at our address with the addition “Data Protection Officer”.

II. What rights do you have?

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

III. For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process personal data?

Visiting our website

When you visit our website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to us. This includes:

  • IP address of your system,
  • Date and time (including time zone) of your request,
  • Type, content and protocol version of your request (specific page request),
  • Access status (HTTP status code) of our server,
  • Size of our server response in bytes,
  • Website from which the request originates (“referrer”),
  • Your user agent (type, version, operating system) and
  • the domain accessed by you.

We also store this data in log files.

This data is technically necessary for us to display the website, ensure stability and security, and optimize our services.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the purposes listed above.

We delete this data after seven days at the latest. Further storage only takes place if the data has been anonymized.

Hosting via Netlify

Our website is hosted by Netlify. As part of hosting, personal data is processed that is technically necessary when visiting the website, in particular server log files, IP addresses and communication data. Processing is carried out for the purpose of providing a secure, stable and efficient website.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your system that provide us with certain information.

We use transient and persistent cookies. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include session cookies. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period.

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and refuse cookies. Please note that this may limit functionality.

Cookies are used to improve usability and analyze website usage.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR if consent is given.

Email contact

If you contact us via email, we store your data to process your request. Your information may be stored in a CRM system.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Applicant data

If you submit an application, we process your data to carry out the application process. If successful, the data is processed further for employment purposes.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Section 26 BDSG.

If your application is unsuccessful, your data will be deleted after six months.

Google services

This website uses Google services provided by Google Ireland Limited.

Data may be transferred to servers in the USA.

In exceptional cases, Google relies on the EU-US Privacy Shield: Privacy Shield

Google Maps

We use Google Maps to display interactive maps.

Google processes this data for advertising and analysis purposes. You have the right to object to this processing.
